This Fender Custom Shop 60th Anniversary 1954 NOS Stratocaster solidbody electric guitar boasts a one-piece, color-tinted quartersawn maple neck, a smart choice for tone-conscious guitarists. Quartersawn wood is much stiffer than flatsawn wood, meaning it vibrates better, meaning more tone for you!
What's more, the lacquer finish, thinner than modern polyurethane finishes, will let the one-piece ash body of this '54 Strat sing loud and clear. The 1954 Stratocaster single-coil pickups deliver the classic Strat tone. Twangy, jangly, smooth and bluesy: these are just some of the wildly different descriptions of how this iconic guitar should sound.
