Built with a solid okoume top with X-bracing and solid okoume back/sides, the Malibu™ Special's compact parlor body produces a surprisingly articulate, cutting yet gentle voice, while offering superior comfort for hours of creativity. The neck is designed with an easy-playing slim "C" profile, a short 24" scale and a 6-in-line tilt-back headstock for a distinctive look rooted in the DNA of Fender electric guitars. Other notable details include vintage-style tuning machines for smooth, precise tuning, a maple rosette and body binding for a top-tier look, and bone nut and saddle for rich harmonic character. Designed for performers, the Fishman® Flex Body preamp system blends an under-saddle piezo and an internal body transducer to deliver faithful, reliable reproduction of the guitar's natural sound when connected to an amplifier, PA system or recording device.
