Right at the heart of one of music's most electrifying decades, the Stratocaster in 1965 was on its way to becoming one of the most important electric guitars in rock. A perfect example of a Strat from a transitional year, the Stratocaster® 1965 features a 1965-style "C"-profile maple neck, this time with a "round-lam" rosewood fingerboard and larger dot inlays. Other period-correct details include a three-ply white pickguard with 11 screw holes, the wonderfully cool transition logo with larger lettering, and a set of remarkable Pure Vintage 1965 "gray bottom" pickups.
