Whether composing at home or performing on stage, the California Deluxe Kingman™ CE bass is built to keep pace with you. Its acoustic bass body produces a naturally resonant, deep low end with striking definition and articulation, while the cutaway shape keeps the upper register fully accessible for melodic parts and expressive performance. The solid mahogany top and laminated mahogany back and sides, reinforced by scalloped X bracing, produce a solid tone, full in the mids, smooth in the highs and perfectly cutting. Additional features include: open-gear tuning machines that hold tuning even through the longest sets, Micarta® nut and saddle for maximum tonal transfer, and phosphor bronze strings for a rich, full-bodied sound from the very first strum. High-quality on-stage amplification is ensured by the Fishman® CD-1 preamp with built-in tuner.
