Whether writing at home or performing on stage, the California Deluxe Newporter™ CE is built to keep pace with you. Its refined shoulder silhouette is instantly recognisable, and the cutaway body isn't just beautiful — it also offers full access to the upper register, so your creativity is never held back by the body/neck joint. The solid Sitka spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides, reinforced by scalloped X-bracing, produce a full, balanced and remarkably lively sound. Additional features include sealed split-post tuning machines that hold tuning even during the longest sets, a Micarta® nut and saddle for maximum tonal transfer, and phosphor bronze strings for a rich, full-bodied sound from the very first strum. Onstage amplification of the highest quality is provided by the Fishman® CD-1 preamp with built-in tuner.
