The Precision Bass® Thinline SJ Paranormal reimagines the original Fender® bass guitar as a resonant semi-hollow instrument equipped with an unconventional SJ pickup combination: a Fender-designed alnico '51 P Bass® single-coil pickup at the neck and a Fender-designed alnico Jazz Bass® single-coil pickup at the bridge. Linked by a 3-position blade switch, this unique pairing produces everything from the deep, thumping warmth of the original Precision Bass to the growling, focused tones of the Jazz Bass, with every shade in between. The semi-hollow thinline body construction adds natural acoustic resonance and reduces weight for improved playability. Other player-focused appointments include a comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile, a vintage-style 4-saddle barrel bridge with grooved saddles, a satin urethane neck finish and vintage-style tuning machines with exposed gears for smooth, precise tuning.
