Its classic folk-style body delivers a comfortable, natural feel that invites you to play for hours, producing an articulate, focused sound and an intimate character that connects the player to the instrument. The solid Sitka spruce top and laminated mahogany back and sides, reinforced by scalloped X-bracing, produce a full, balanced and remarkably lively sound. Additional features include sealed split-post tuning machines that hold tuning even during the longest sets, a Micarta® nut and saddle for maximum tonal transfer, and phosphor bronze strings for a rich, full-bodied sound from the very first strum. Onstage amplification of the highest quality is provided by the Fishman® CD-1 preamp with built-in tuner.
