Few music artists can be said to have instantly revolutionised the scene in music-culture history, thirty years past the peak of their popularity. Kurt Cobain and his Nirvana bandmates appeared on the early-'90s scene as generational talents who combined heavy rock sounds, punk-inflected energy and melodic touches to create a sound that quickly drew in millions of fans and made grunge and alternative rock a widely popular genre.
Although Kurt appeared in public playing a variety of Fender guitars, his Fender Jaguar® and Mustang® remained the most iconic, due to their musical use on the "Nevermind" tour and in the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" video. Kurt designed the Jag-Stang® to combine his favourite elements of both instruments, bringing it to life with the help of the Fender Custom Shop in 1993.
- To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's seminal "Nevermind" record, this Limited Edition Jag-Stang features the same characteristics that made it Kurt's ideal instrument
- The alder body delivers intense tone, perfect for big power chords, the short 24" scale reduces string tension for easier playing, and the 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard with maple neck offers a comfortable feel that doesn't tire your hands while playing chords
- The vintage-style single-coil and custom humbucking pickups are perfect for recreating Kurt's classic tones, while a Mustang slider switch offers the flexibility to set four distinct settings, for a variety of in- and out-of-phase tones. FEATURES Alder body
