Paramount PD-220E combines state-of-the-art craftsmanship with vintage-inspired touches, offering the best of both worlds. Built in versions with a solid spruce or solid mahogany top, along with solid mahogany back and sides, the PD-220E features asymmetrical X-pattern bracing, optimised for the best resonance and tone. An all-new Sonitone Plus pickup, designed by Fender and Fishman, amplifies the PD-220E dreadnought body's full, balanced tone, while soundhole-mounted controls preserve the classic aesthetic. Beneath the top, a body-sensing pickup enhances the top's vibrations, which can then be blended with the under-saddle Sonicore pickup. Aesthetic upgrades include snowflake-shaped pearloid fingerboard inlays, binding, rosette and back strip with a feather motif, and Black or Tiger Stripe pickguard. The PD-220E also features an ovangkol bridge and fingerboard, a slim, tapered mahogany neck, bone nut and saddle, and includes a hardshell case.
