Product information "Fender® American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster® Deluxe, Maple Fingerboard, 3-Color Sunburst"
The Fender® American Vintage II series presents a remarkably faithful reinterpretation of the groundbreaking designs that changed the course of music history. Built with historically correct bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes and painstaking attention to tone, with era-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of Fender's most authentic craftsmanship and tone.
Originally introduced in 1972 and marketed as the top model in the Telecaster® family, the Telecaster Deluxe stands out as the first solid-body Fender Telecaster with two humbucking pickups. Like the original, the American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe sports a large Stratocaster®-style headstock, a comfortable body contour, and a pair of Wide Range humbucking pickups mounted on an elongated pickguard with dual volume and tone controls, and a 3-position switch positioned on the upper bout. To create authentic Wide-Range humbucking pickups, we resurrected CuNiFe magnets, out of production since 1981, an essential element in replicating the original's tone.
With a Canadian maple neck featuring a '75-style "C" profile, the Telecaster Deluxe American Vintage II 1975 offers ultimate playing comfort, with a 7.25" radius maple fingerboard and medium jumbo frets. Characteristic of 1975 production, this Telecaster is equipped with a handy "Bullet" style truss rod nut, a three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt™ mechanism, and is offered in Black, Mocha Brown, or 3-Color Sunburst on an alder body. Other features include a 6-saddle hardtail bridge with steel block saddles, and historically accurate Tele® Deluxe tuning machines.
American Vintage II series instruments are the direct descendants of the original Fenders: built for players who truly appreciate vintage Fender tone and response, they're built with unmatched quality down to the very last screw. These are Fender electrics in their purest form: Fender American Vintage II, the stuff legends are made of.
