Fender scored a major success in 1993 with its “Tweed” series amplifiers. The idea behind the project was simple: what if a great collectible 1950s amp, such as a '50s Deluxe or a Bassman®, had been fitted with channel switching and reverb?
Enter the Blues Deluxe Reissue — a vintage-style all-tube amp with a "boutique" tone at an incredible price, which many professionals have used for rock, country and blues with outstanding results. Like its more recent cousin, the Hot Rod Deluxe, it offers plenty of modern features, and many players seek it out for its warm tone, its distinctive circuitry and a look that stays true to the original versions.
The Blues Deluxe Reissue delivers 40 watts through a 12” Eminence® Special Design speaker, driven by two 6L6 power tubes and three 12AX7 preamp tubes. Its two channels — "normal" (with bright switch) and "drive" — are ideal for classic blues, country and rock tones; other features include Fender spring reverb, an effects loop and a two-button footswitch. The winning look comes from the tweed covering, the "chicken head" knobs and the chrome control panel.
