Flea's jazz- and funk-influenced basslines helped the Red Hot Chili Peppers reach the top of the rock and alternative charts, redefining the bassist's role in the modern era. Flea's unique style has brought a welcome touch of freshness to the music landscape over the last four decades, inspiring countless bassists to add a funky touch to their sound, exploring new techniques and harmonic possibilities.
To celebrate his influence, we recreated his cherished '61 Shell Pink Jazz Bass, which he received as a gift from a fan and used to record the Stadium Arcadium and The Getaway albums, as well as with his supergroup Atoms For Peace.
