An intuitive compressor/booster combination offering low-noise compression in both modern and vintage tube styles, Bends V2 is ideal for guitar and bass alike. Using a unique version of OTA technology for real-time gain control, this compressor responds in a linear, natural way to your playing dynamics to even out volume differences between sections, adding sustain and thickness to your notes.
Bends V2 makes compression simple with just three easy-to-identify controls: a three-speed Attack switch, a finely adjustable Release control and an Input control that sets the level at which compression kicks in. An active Tone control with a centre detent cuts or boosts treble to compensate for any loss of brightness, and the Blend control brings the dry signal into the mix to strike the perfect balance between clean dynamics and compression. A rear-mounted Vintage switch adds the real "secret ingredient", changing the circuit from crystal-clear, surgical operation to soft compression with a wonderful colouration and a touch of natural saturation when engaged.
Combine boost and compression to create real magic. The Comp Pre/Post switch changes the internal routing to swap the order of the independent ultra-clean boost and the compression. Place the boost before the compression for swelling Nashville-style sustain, or after the signal has been compressed for solos and to raise the overall output level sent to the following effects.
With an independent boost circuit, switchable buffered and true bypass modes, and switch-enabled footswitches for momentary and on/off operation, Bends V2 is a fully featured compressor offering naturally responsive dynamic control for any instrument.
